Green Facility

The Juvenile Center was designed as a “green” building meeting LEED specifications. It is heated and cooled by a system of geothermal wells. It uses non toxic wall paint and floor coverings. The building is fully sprinkled and monitored with fire and smoke alarms to prevent fire and minimize injury in the event of fire. A generator is maintained to provide power in the event of emergency.
